  • CBExchange 2024 (Colorado Springs) - Call for Proposals now open. Submit by March 22.

  • Ryan Specht-Boardman (C-BEN) engaged to help draft initial academic calendar and financial aid policies over the next 4-6 weeks.

  • A subset of the Financial Model Workgroup will be holding a 2-hour working meeting to draft the Jayhawk Flex budget model on Monday, March 18.

Business Processes & Systems

Working draft of 10-year Academic Calendar complete. Ryan Specht-Boardman engaged to help draft initial academic calendar and financial aid policies over the next 4-6 weeks.

Credit Equivalency Workgroup met and made a working decision: Flex programs should have 1-2 competencies per credit hour. See additional guidance here.

Curriculum & Learning

Next Meeting: Mar 27

Held an initial discussion around the vision for KU’s Credit for Prior Learning strategy for Jayhawk Flex. Reviewed KBOR guidelines for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), as well as HLC considerations.

In our next meeting we’ll begin drafting guidelines for KU’s approach to Credit for Prior Learning.

Policy & Regulatory Compliance

Working across strands to gather the components of the HLC application, with goal of submitting the CBE Project Management program to HLC later this Spring.

HOPE & STEM programs were submitted to KBOR on Feb 21.  The programs will go through layers of approval that spans from February - June.
